About The Position

TEKsystems is seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician for their client in the DMV market. This company supports builds for wireless carriers, as well as energy and government customers for grid modernization and rural broadband efforts. This position will support OSP (Outside Plant) for both wireline and wireless sectors, involving underground telecommunications/utility excavation, trenching, boring, and general OSP construction. The role primarily focuses on OSP construction field support, including digging, trenching, and locating. Approximately 75% of the role will be field support, with 25% involving driving a truck (CDL required) and assisting with loading/unloading equipment such as Pole Mounts, Base Units, Generators, and Restoration Material. The ideal candidate will be a junior laborer capable of becoming a qualified operator/locator to support the growing team.
