About The Position

This is a part-time position that operates every weekend. The role involves answering and routing calls received by the Hospital's main telephone number, operating the PBX telephone console, and performing miscellaneous clerical duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Ability to work additional shifts, as needed.
• Gracious manners, pleasant speaking voice, calm demeanor and the ability to work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Answers and routes calls received by the main Hospital telephone number.
• Provides patient room and visiting hours information assistance to callers.
• Pages authorized personnel overhead and/or on paging system.
• Monitors all emergency alarms and dispatches appropriate response teams.
• Maintains appropriate logs and records.
• Provides access to telephonic interpreter services for callers with limited English proficiency.
• Performs related duties, as required.
