About The Position

Netmaker Communications seeks a senior telecommunications engineer to support Ribbon Federal Edge deployment, SIP interconnection engineering, and E-911 call routing associated with Army Voice Modernization. The role supports mission-critical emergency communications integration between VMOD systems, DISA VISP, and Army PSAP environments. The position is based on-site at the company headquarters in Winchester, Virginia, and requires an active Secret clearance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of telecommunications engineering experience.
• 5 or more years of VoIP/SIP engineering experience.
• Experience with Ribbon Communications, Sonus, or Genband.
• Experience with Session Border Controllers.
• Experience with SIP signaling and interconnects.
• Experience with E-911 or PSAP integration.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or IT, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with DISA VISP.
• Army VMOD experience.
• PSAP interconnection experience.
• Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE).
• NG 911 public safety communications background or familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and integration of Ribbon Federal Edge gateways.
• Support engineering issue tracking and provide technical recommendations.
• Support SIP interconnection engineering and policy routing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot E-911 call-flow issues.
• Support deployment validation and readiness assessments.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support connectivity among Federal Edge, VISP, and Army PSAP systems.
• Assist with resolving issues affecting gateway deployment and performance.
• Support technical coordination related to E-911 routing requirements.
