About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Telecommunications Engineering Specialist to support mission-critical voice modernization and emergency communications infrastructure in Winchester, Virginia. This role involves supporting the deployment and integration of advanced telecommunications gateway technologies, engineering SIP interconnections and policy routing solutions, and analyzing and troubleshooting E-911 call routing and emergency communications issues. The specialist will also support deployment validation and readiness assessments, identify technical risks and recommend engineering solutions, and collaborate with technical teams supporting mission-critical communication systems.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance REQUIRED
  • 10+ years Telecommunications Engineering experience REQUIRED
  • 5+ years VoIP / SIP Engineering experience REQUIRED
  • Ribbon Communications / Sonus / Genband experience REQUIRED
  • Session Border Controller (SBC) experience REQUIRED
  • SIP Signaling and SIP Interconnect experience REQUIRED
  • E-911 or PSAP Integration experience REQUIRED
  • Wireshark troubleshooting experience REQUIRED
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Winchester, Virginia REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
  • Engineer VoIP and SIP communications environments
  • Support E-911 and NG911 routing environments
  • Perform packet analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark
  • Support gateway deployment, interoperability, and validation activities
  • Coordinate with engineering teams supporting secure telecommunications infrastructure
