About The Position
At Regions, the Telecommunications Engineer develops, implements, and maintains the configuration and programming of the Regions Contact Center and/or Audio-Visual systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of telecommunications experience
- Or, a High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of telecommunications experience
- Ability to work under direct guidance
- Basic understanding of voice and data technologies as used in the enterprise network including the public branch exchange and dialed number identification routing
- Basic writing, verbal communication, and technical documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of telecommunication configuration tools, database management, application integration, and security
- Experience with leased lines and call recording applications
- Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Internet Protocol (IP), and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)/ Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
- Working knowledge of applicable software such as but not limited to Cisco Contact Center, Genesys or Noble Dialer, Cisco Control Hub, Cisco Device Connector, Air Medias, and TMS
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows products
- Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
- Helps perform various telecommunication system installations and maintenance routines
- Designs, develops, codes, debugs, tests, implements, and provides daily technical support and maintenance for all applicable applications and systems
- Troubleshoots system issues, determines root cause, repairs, coordinates with vendors when necessary
- Monitors help desk ticket queues and resolves telecommunications related tickets
- Assists in creating, planning, and executing project plans relating to applicable systems and applications
- May research, recommend, and deploy new technologies, under direct guidance
