About The Position

This role involves performing non-standard engineering development and design work that demands significant engineering expertise, creative problem-solving, and independent judgment. The engineer will be responsible for the setup, operation, tear down, and maintenance of deployable cellular and land mobile radio systems. A key aspect of the position is collaborating with DoD clients to plan and execute training exercises using RF and cyber testbeds, as well as developing advanced testbeds to enhance future training opportunities. The position also requires physical capability, including the ability to lift and maneuver containers weighing 45 lbs or more, and to assist with 2-person lift requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience with RF communication systems and components, including analog and digital design, amplifiers, transmitters, receivers, demodulators, filters, or antenna systems
  • Experience in RF theory, wave propagation, and electrical theory
  • Knowledge of electronic warfare, signals intelligence, and cyber operations, and how they are applied in military operations
  • Knowledge of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems, SATCOM, HF systems, 5G networks, cellular, tactical communications, filters, antenna systems, and RF or lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzers
  • Knowledge of configuring and deploying IP networking equipment, including routers and switches
  • Ability to communicate effectively with mid- to senior-level government leadership
  • Ability to move containers up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EE, or Physics

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, EE, or Physics
