About The Position

The Telecommunication Engineering / Project Lead role will support the FTI-Sustainment Lead on enterprise network architecture, project engineering design, technical documentation, technical design review, systems integration, technical discussions / TIMs, and technical implementation activities supporting FTI-Sustainment. This role will also be responsible for reviews of contractual proposals and providing oversight to ensure conformance and compliance with FAA standards and policies. The FAA is at a critical juncture in modernizing its mission-critical operational network, which has become obsolete and poses a significant operational risk impacting public safety. During this modernization it is critical to sustain the integrity, security, and resiliency of the FTI network currently supporting the NAS while the TDM Replacement Program and Project LIFT address the rapid deployment of modernization enhancements across the FAA operational facilities and address emerging services across the NAS, balancing FTI and the next follow-on network to make smart decisions with respect to investment as well as future network capabilities. Not staffing this position will result in project delays and failure to meet key program milestones.
