About The Position

This is a temporary support and maintenance role for a legacy on-prem Mitel telephone system. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and maintaining the university's on-prem legacy PBX and related systems. This includes performing moves, adds, and deletes of phone lines, installing, maintaining, and repairing phone sets, assisting in the relocation of phone lines, and performing conversions/upgrades from digital and analog phone sets to VOIP phone sets. The role also involves supporting and maintaining the on-prem legacy voicemail system.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Mitel SX2000 PBX in a multi-peripheral node environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mitel 3300 VOIP Bridge.
• Knowledge of PRI interfaces.
• Knowledge of SIP trunks.
• Knowledge of Octel O250 voicemail system.
• High school degree.

• Networking protocols and standard troubleshooting tools.
• MS Windows.
• MS Office applications.
• Legacy Mitel PBX and legacy Octel voicemail system experience.
