Experienced Telecom Lineman
About The Position
Celerity Integrated Services is seeking an experienced full-time Telecom Lineman for its Construction department. The role involves aerial and underground telecommunications linework and manual labor on telecommunications construction projects. The employee supports construction technicians, handles and organizes tools and materials, clears vegetation at job sites, assists with confined-space entry and traffic control, and follows safety and incident-reporting procedures. The work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve elevated heights, manhole systems, confined spaces, and heavy machinery. On-call work may be required at various times; travel and overnight stays may occasionally be necessary. Employees must be able to handle tools and equipment weighing up to 95 pounds and safely operate construction and telecommunications equipment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of telecommunications field experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to regularly carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing up to 95 pounds.
- Physical ability to work at elevated heights, in manhole systems and confined spaces, and to operate heavy machinery.
- Flagger certification, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- CDL-A license.
- Forklift or heavy-equipment operator experience; certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for telecommunications construction projects.
- Assist other construction technicians to facilitate efficient workflow.
- Haul and hoist materials as needed.
- Organize tools.
- Trim trees and clear brush at job sites.
- Assist with confined-space entry.
- Assist with traffic control services in work zones.
- Follow proper safety and incident-reporting procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisory personnel.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment, including construction and telecommunications equipment.
