About The Position

CK Contractors and Development LLC is seeking a Telecom Aerial Lineman to install, maintain, and repair aerial fiber optic and telecommunications lines. This role is crucial for maintaining reliable, high-speed communication infrastructure and requires technical expertise, physical stamina, and a strong focus on safety, especially when working at heights and in field conditions.

Requirements

Previous experience as a telecom lineman, fiber optic technician, or similar role is preferred
Knowledge of aerial fiber optic and telecommunications installation practices
Familiarity with climbing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Understanding of basic construction and electrical safety practices
Ability to read and interpret maps, job plans, and utility locates
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in telecommunications, aerial fiber optic, or utility work is preferred but not required for motivated candidates
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair aerial fiber optic and telecommunications lines
Climb poles, towers, and other structures to access lines and equipment
Splice, connect, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and telecommunications cables
Assist with job site setup, including staging equipment, tools, and materials
Perform daily inspections of equipment, tools, and safety gear
Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including participation in daily safety meetings and proper use of required PPE
Work collaboratively with crew members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress, safety concerns, and site conditions
Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with coworkers, property owners, and the public
