2nd Shift Teflon Coater
About The Position
McElroy is currently seeking a Teflon Coater. A successful McElroy coater prepares parts for coating by cleaning, masking, and surface-prepping components, then applies specialized Teflon and fluoropolymer coatings according to required specifications. They must be able to process parts using multi-step coating procedures, operate curing ovens, monitor bake-out cycles, and inspect finished parts to ensure all quality standards are met. The successful Teflon coater will have experience with spray-applied industrial coatings, including fluoropolymer or PTFE-based materials, and a working knowledge of surface preparation methods such as grit blasting. Our coaters must also be able to interpret all prints, sketches, and verbal descriptions to ensure coatings are applied to specification.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in industrial coating, preferably with Teflon, fluoropolymer, or high-performance coatings.
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary test on an annual basis.
- Must be able to wear a respirator during periods of coating, blasting, or surface preparation.
- Experience with spray-applied industrial coatings, including fluoropolymer or PTFE-based materials.
- Working knowledge of surface preparation methods such as grit blasting.
