About The Position

ID.me is rebuilding its procurement and vendor management function as a lean, AI-augmented operating model. This is a builder's role focused on driving efficiencies through strategic vendor renegotiations, consolidation, and operational backbone improvements. The role involves owning proactive coverage of the vendor portfolio outside of the largest strategic relationships, eliminating duplicative spend, renegotiating mid-tier contracts, and operating the procurement system. It also offers exposure to cutting-edge strategic vendors and the opportunity to learn how to build and operate a lean system in the age of AI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in procurement, vendor management, FP&A operations with vendor facing experience, consulting, or a closely adjacent operations role.
  • A track record of negotiated outcomes that can be specifically discussed.
  • Genuine comfort with modern AI tools as part of day-to-day work, including prompting LLMs, using AI features in procurement/contract tools, and identifying where AI can replace manual effort.
  • Strong systems instincts, with experience implementing or significantly improving procurement, finance, or operations tooling (e.g., Ramp, Coupa, Zip, Tropic, Spendflo, Ironclad, NetSuite).
  • Cross-functional operator orientation, comfortable leading conversations with stakeholders on tool consolidation.
  • Ownership, mastery, and confidence to own relationships with business partners and understand product value to explain it to C-suite approvers.
  • Bias to action and comfort with autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive value across the vendor tail by identifying, prioritizing, and executing renegotiations across mid-tier vendors, bringing quantified savings, term improvements, and risk reduction to every renewal cycle.
  • Eliminate duplicative spend by hunting across the SaaS and technology portfolio for overlapping tools, dormant licenses, and consolidation opportunities, building business cases, aligning cross-functionally, and executing consolidations.
  • Onboard, evaluate, and offboard vendors by running vendor selection processes for new technology, coordinating POCs, structuring pilots, capturing performance data, and making data-grounded sourcing recommendations.
  • Operate the procurement system of record by owning day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of Procurement Tools, including intake configuration, approval workflows, vendor records, renewal calendars, and audit trails.
  • Run the AI agent layer by configuring, monitoring, and improving AI agents for tasks such as intake triage, renewal monitoring, contract review, and anomaly detection.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, GRC/Risk, InfoSec, Privacy, and business owners across the company, ensuring procurement accelerates other functions.

Benefits

  • Full-time employment
