About The Position

We are seeking an associate with three to five years of experience to join our Technology Transactions team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced advisors, supporting life sciences and cutting-edge tech companies in shaping their IP strategies and facilitating key agreements.

Requirements

  • Must have at least three years of legal experience in IP and technology transactions
  • Strong interest in working on technology transactions for M&A matters and emerging company/venture capital clients
  • Excellent research, analytical, drafting and communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • JD is required
  • Admission to the state bar of the office in which the candidate would be located

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate collaboration, partnering, licensing, and other commercial agreements for companies at any stage of their life cycle (including emerging company/venture capital clients).
  • Work closely with technology companies to provide expert guidance on product strategy, development, and market positioning.
  • Participate in advising clients on corporate partnerships, strategic alliances, licensing agreements and aspects of product research, development and commercialization in both the life sciences and general technology sectors.
  • Assist in navigating IP and technology aspects of complex M&A transactions, public offerings and venture capital financings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on diverse technologies, including AI, fintech, autonomous vehicles, edtech, renewable energy, AR/VR, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and digital health.
