Technology Summer Camp Counselor
About The Position
Club SciKidz RVA is seeking Technology Counselors for their science and technology summer day camps in Northern Virginia. These camps cater to children aged 4-15 and focus on subjects like robotics, Lego Robotics, Minecraft, coding, and video game design. The day camps operate Monday through Friday, with staff scheduled on a weekly basis. Typical staff hours are from 8 am to 4 pm. The pay for Counselors is $560 per week. Club SciKidz provides all lessons, materials, and supplies. Counselors are responsible for supervising campers, implementing lessons, keeping children engaged in a safe environment, and ensuring a fun and educational experience. Mandatory, paid training will occur in the first week of June.
Requirements
- Experience with Robotics, Lego Robotics, Minecraft, Coding, and Video Game Making
- Enjoy working with children
- Some experience working with and leading a group of children
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to attend mandatory, paid training in the first week of June
Nice To Haves
- Teachers
- College students who have completed at least their first year of college (STEM majors and Education majors preferred, but all majors welcome)
- High school Graduating Seniors with passion for and experience in basic science and/or technology fields
- Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology
