About The Position

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Technology Strategy Senior Principal to lead technology strategy and transformation for pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. The role partners with commercial, medical, regulatory, and IT leaders to modernize content creation and engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients in highly regulated environments. It requires a strong understanding of pharma platforms, including Veeva, Salesforce Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud, and Aprimo, as well as US and international regulations governing customer and consumer data. A central focus is the content supply chain: identifying breakdowns and addressing them through process and platform improvements and emerging generative AI capabilities. The Senior Principal will assess client ecosystems; define target architectures, platform strategies, and roadmaps; improve content operations; and embed compliance and data governance into strategies for HCP and patient data, consent, personalization, and AI. The role also leads executive client engagements and multidisciplinary teams, owns senior client relationships, leads proposals and pursuits, and supports recruiting and thought leadership within the Technology Strategy & Advisory practice. Success means delivering an actionable, business-aligned strategy and operating model; a connected, compliant platform ecosystem; more efficient content operations; and executive alignment on transformation priorities.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or management consulting, with significant pharmaceutical or life sciences experience.
  • Strong understanding of pharma and life sciences functions, including commercial, brand, medical affairs, regulatory, and market access, and evolving HCP and patient engagement models.
  • Hands-on experience with regulated-industry platforms such as Veeva (Vault PromoMats, MedComms, CRM), Salesforce Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud, and Aprimo, including integration and data considerations.
  • Proven experience transforming pharma content supply chains, including MLR processes, modular content, digital asset management, metadata and taxonomy, and omnichannel distribution.
  • Experience applying traditional and generative AI solutions to content and commercial challenges, with a practical understanding of AI governance, validation, and responsible use in regulated contexts.
  • Deep knowledge of US healthcare data and promotional regulations, including HIPAA, FDA promotional guidance, state privacy laws such as CCPA/CPRA, and the PhRMA Code.
  • Working understanding of international requirements, including GDPR, EFPIA, and local market codes, as they apply to consumer, patient, and HCP data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology recommendations and communicate architecture, integration, and data-flow considerations to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, influencing senior executives, and supporting proposals and practice growth in complex global organizations.

  • Apply modular content, streamlined workflows, and generative AI use cases such as MLR pre-checks, claims tagging, and content generation and localization.
  • Embed compliance and data governance into strategies for HCP and patient data, consent, personalization, and AI, accounting for US requirements and international markets.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, align business and technology stakeholders, and guide multidisciplinary teams across strategy, experience, data, architecture, and engineering.
  • Own senior client relationships and lead proposals and pursuits.
  • Contribute to recruiting and thought leadership within the Technology Strategy & Advisory practice.
