About The Position

As a Technology Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for relaying the Direct Travel technology and solutions story to our clients and prospects. You will engage with mid-Market and Enterprise customers to understand their business needs and uncover their current challenges to recommend and present a solution that will work best for their unique program. The Technology Solutions Manager role is critical in bridging the gap between product capabilities, client requirements, and successful implementation outcomes. This role will work closely with sales, marketing, product marketing/management, proposal teams, enablement, and services/implementation. You will report to the VP of Technology Solutions.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience of Tech Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Corporate Travel Sales, Product or Solutions Engineering or Implementation role within a Travel Management Company or Travel Tech Provider.
  • Understanding of corporate travel booking architecture including OBTs, GDS, mid-office, and back-office platforms
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience speaking to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in creating supporting materials (i.e. documents, slides, diagrams, spreadsheets, videos) to support key talking points
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Exposure to API-based integrations, SSO, and data analytics platforms
  • Understanding of global ticket fulfillment and multinational travel operations
  • Knowledge of travel reporting platforms
  • General AI knowledge (e.g. Agentic AI, NLP, Conversational AI, and LLM’s)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales and account management to assess client and prospective requirements and current challenges to recommend a technology ecosystem that will work best for their unique program
  • Deliver demonstrations and presentations of our proprietary and 3rd party technologies
  • Keep up with industry technology and innovation trends, as well as our competitor’s technology offerings
  • Enable sales and account management on our technology and how to effectively talk to it
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure we have the right product collaterals and that they’re kept up to date
  • Collect feedback from clients and prospects on our technologies to relay back to development teams
  • Assist proposal teams during RFP process to address technology questions
