Technology Solutions Architect

Guidehouse•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

The Technology Solutions Architect will serve as a hands-on technical thought partner to CDC stakeholders and Guidehouse delivery teams. The role involves listening to CDC’s mission and technology challenges, translating emerging or incompletely defined needs into practical technical approaches, and developing architectures, prototypes, demonstrations, and other tangible concepts to help stakeholders evaluate and refine potential solutions. It combines solution architecture with technical leadership for interoperable public-health data exchange, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. The position provides technical leadership on CDC projects while strengthening Guidehouse’s ability to support CDC through trusted relationships and technically credible work. The architect will lead the design of scalable, secure solutions for public-health data exchange, interoperability, analytics, and AI/ML, while accounting for public-health workflows, governance, privacy, and operational constraints. The role applies standards and technologies such as HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, and terminology systems to surveillance, reporting, integration, and related mission use cases. The position also leads multidisciplinary technical teams through design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and operational transition, and provides technical oversight and quality assurance across the technology stack. The role leads technical discussions and design reviews, communicating decisions, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risks. It also develops reusable architectures, prototypes, and technical insights that strengthen client delivery and selected account opportunities. The position requires working in or regularly engaging with CDC stakeholders in Atlanta. U.S. citizenship is contractually required, and the candidate must obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust, with approved adjudication required before onboarding with Guidehouse.
