About The Position

Finning Canada is looking for a driven and forward-thinking Technology Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives that shape how we operate and deliver value across the business. This is your opportunity to step into a role where you’ll influence real business outcomes, drive operational improvements, and collaborate with passionate teams across multiple industries. You’ll lead complex projects end-to-end—ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with excellence—while helping the organization evolve through smart, sustainable change. This is NOT an IT Project Manager Role. We’re looking for a business-focused project leader with hands-on experience in Caterpillar (CAT) Product Link technology—not traditional IT project management. The ideal candidate brings practical expertise in leveraging Product Link solutions across Mining, Construction, and Power Systems, with a focus on: Equipment performance optimization, Operational efficiency, and Data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience (business improvement/change management focus)
  • 5+ years of progressive business experience (consulting is a plus)
  • Experience or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, or Process Improvement
  • Strong understanding of project management and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Able to influence and lead without formal authority
  • Strong communicator, presenter, and facilitator
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering value

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAT Product Link technology (highly preferred)
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar operations is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple strategic projects using Finning’s Project Management & Continuous Improvement frameworks
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define project charters, roadmaps, and execution plans
  • Deliver results aligned to business goals, timelines, and budgets
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance performance and efficiency
  • Drive change management to ensure long-term adoption and success
  • Mentor and support Project Leads to build internal capability
  • Collaborate across teams to solve complex problems and implement sustainable solutions
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and project excellence
  • Support teams with tools, reporting, and project structure best practices
  • Coordinate large initiatives alongside the Process Improvement Manager
