Mercor is seeking its first IT Operations Lead to be responsible for the reliability, security, and scalability of its identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure systems. This role involves transforming reactive support into strategic, automated systems to proactively prevent issues. The position requires a balance of speed, security, and an excellent user experience for technical teams. The role is based in San Francisco or New York City, with close collaboration with Security, Engineering, and People Operations teams. The specialist will handle day-to-day operations, incident response, and triage/resolution of Tier 2/3 tickets, with a strong emphasis on automation and improving response times. Key responsibilities include managing and troubleshooting Apple devices, tracing root causes across complex multi-system failures, analyzing impacts of changes to SSO, MDM, and access control, building runbooks and guides, leading projects for operational improvements, translating technical issues for non-technical stakeholders, mentoring future IT team members, and participating in an on-call rotation.
