About The Position

The Technology Manager is responsible for supporting and facilitating the growth and ongoing success of Parallel Advisors. This position reports directly to the Head of Operations & Technology. The Technology Manager will work on key firm initiatives and discrete projects some of which will be ongoing and others ad hoc. This position requires leadership, strong communication skills, organizational mindset, initiative, versatility, flexibility, and a keen understanding of the workings of the firm. The Technology Manager may be asked to lead or participate in cross-functional group projects and committees to improve quality and operational efficiency within and between the teams. This position is a hybrid position (in-office 3x/ week) in our Coppell, TX office.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Technology Manager / IT role.
  • Tools & Systems Knowledge (including, A/V, Box, Zoom, Office & Google Workplace, SFDC Data Loader, Mobile)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Savvy with technology, especially as it pertains to data entry
  • Experience with BlackDiamond, Salesforce, and Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Systems & Software Projects: Work with the Head of Operations & Technology to source, evaluate, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiencies and provide resources for advisors
  • Due diligence on vendors, scheduling demos, documentation, and following up internally to determine needs.
  • Cyber review of proposed solutions including SOC II review.
  • Develop project plans to roll out new technologies, including identifying internal stakeholders, users, building pilot test groups, setting up tech appropriately, and executing roll out
  • Maintenance of ongoing systems including regular vendor reviews, onboarding new hires, add/removing employees
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders and third party programmers to implement improvements to Salesforce, including maintenance on existing integrations and workflows.
  • Communication Work with Head of Operations & Technology and the firm at-large to communicate changes, updates, reminders, and other necessary information.
  • Develop training videos/one-pagers as a reference guide for Firm employees
  • Handle one-off inbound calls when technology issues arise and troubleshoot individually and/or in partnership with vendors
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage and maintain the Firm's intranet
  • Hardware Program Oversight & Maintenance Manage equipment, including technology packages for new hires and replacements for depreciated equipment, including onboarding/offboarding
  • Manage technology solutions for our existing and new offices
  • Work with our outsourced IT vendor to troubleshoot glitches or problems as needed
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional group projects to improve quality and efficiency within the teams
