Technology Manager Digital Products

PurolatorMississauga, ON
Onsite

About The Position

Every business day, millions of Canadians and thousands of Canadian businesses interact with Purolator through a tracking page, a delivery notification, or a self-serve tool. The digital experiences this role owns — Purolator Your Way, Notifications, Tracking, Purolator.com, and Vision — are how the country experiences our brand outside of the truck and the front door. We are looking for a product leader to set the multi-year vision for these recipient and shipper experiences, raise the bar on customer-facing quality, and convert that work into measurable revenue, retention, and operational impact. This role operates at the intersection of customer experience, technology, and commercial impact — translating customer insight and business priorities into a portfolio of products that customers actually use and that the business can measure. As a leader within Product & Technology, you will champion a product-led, evidence-driven way of working: clear problem definition, real customer validation, disciplined product discovery & delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital product management, strategy, or technology leadership.
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
  • Strong command of product management fundamentals — discovery, prioritization, agile delivery, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills; able to translate complex insights into clear narratives and decisions.
  • Comfort working in a matrixed enterprise environment across Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and CX.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience directly owning customer-facing products at scale.
  • Experience in logistics, courier, supply chain, eCommerce, marketplaces, or other transactional B2B/B2C digital products.
  • Practical experience using AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, discovery, or delivery — applied with appropriate governance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the multi-year strategy and roadmap for the recipient and shipper digital portfolio, aligned to corporate priorities and customer needs.
  • Use market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer research to identify where Purolator should invest, defer, or sunset.
  • Prioritize ruthlessly — make trade-offs explicit, defend them with evidence, and revisit them as conditions change.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from problem definition through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Develop business cases — including financial modelling, ROI, and sensitivity analysis — to support investment decisions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Architecture to translate product vision into scalable, secure, accessible solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise design, accessibility (AODA), and security standards.
  • Champion a customer-first approach grounded in qualitative research, behavioural data, and operational signals.
  • Continuously identify friction points and unmet needs across the recipient and shipper journeys; benchmark against industry standards.
  • Build closed-loop feedback mechanisms so insight flows back into the roadmap quickly.
  • Define and monitor a clear KPI scorecard covering adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, and commercial impact.
  • Use data to inform roadmap decisions, prioritise investment, and surface trends, anomalies, and leading indicators.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation, A/B testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Commercial and Operations stakeholders to ensure digital products support revenue growth, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline customer journeys, reduce friction, and lower cost-to-serve through better self-serve and automation.
  • Translate product investments into measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead structured change management for product launches and major enhancements.
  • Drive internal readiness through targeted communications, training, and enablement with Sales, CX, and Ops.
  • Define and execute adoption strategies that sustain usage and value beyond launch.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of three Product Managers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and constructive challenge.
  • Embed modern product management practices — including responsible use of AI tooling — into how the team works.

Benefits

  • We strive to provide a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace, ensuring the right people have the tools they need to thrive.
