About The Position

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients and technical teams have the right equipment available at the right time. You will help drive operational efficiency by maintaining accurate inventory records, improving inventory processes, and supporting the complete technology asset lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with inventory control, preferably in an IT or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and the Microsoft Office 365 suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain highly accurate inventory and asset records while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if professional experience in inventory control is substantial.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory and asset records within the inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate equipment receiving, storage, staging, deployment, and distribution activities.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of equipment while minimizing shortages and excess stock.
  • Collaborate with procurement to support equipment purchasing, replenishment, vendor coordination, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Assist with equipment procurement, asset tagging, and inventory intake processes.
  • Track and manage hardware lifecycles, replacement schedules, warranty information, and vendor return activities.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Support employee and client onboarding, offboarding, and equipment refresh initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze inventory and asset management reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of inventory management, asset tracking, and operational processes.
  • Stay current on technology hardware platforms, product lifecycles, and industry best practices.
