As an intern at Tradeweb, you will gain practical, hands-on experience by working with technologists and business experts. The program combines traditional classroom settings with project-based work, allowing you to get involved with the firm's products and services. You will receive guidance from individuals at all levels of the organization, helping you build a professional network and relationships with the intern class through interactive outings and projects. This internship focuses on the U.S. Credit team within Technology Development, which is responsible for all institutional buy-side credit products. The team develops and maintains a suite of trading protocols using a modern event-driven architecture and collaborates with other development teams across the firm. Daily tasks include contributing to the New List Infrastructure (NLI), a rewrite of the trading protocol stack focused on scale, speed, and design, written in C++. A typical day involves a morning check-in with your manager to discuss tasks, and collaboration with other engineers on the 16-person team. You may be involved in building auto-execution logic, developing new trading protocols based on client requests, or working on trade logic that interfaces with various firm systems. The internship encourages exploring the application of AI and emerging technologies within your business area, providing opportunities to think differently, challenge existing processes, and contribute innovative ideas.
