About The Position
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience within Tradeweb's technology teams. The program combines traditional classroom settings with project-based work, allowing interns to contribute to the firm's ongoing projects. Interns will receive guidance from experienced professionals at all levels of the organization and have opportunities to build a professional network and relationships with fellow interns through interactive outings and projects. The role involves working with technologists and business experts to understand and apply practical skills. Interns will be encouraged to explore how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within their business area, challenging existing processes and contributing innovative ideas.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- An interest in building large-scale, real-time distributed systems.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Curiosity about how technology drives the fixed income space, logic and intentionality to the design and implementation of your code.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the New List Infrastructure (NLI), a rewrite of the trading protocol stack built for scale, speed, and clean design (written in C++).
- Building auto-execution logic.
- Developing new trading protocols from real client requests.
- Working through trade logic that touches systems across the firm.
- Collaborating with other engineers on the 16-person engineering team.
- Participating in morning check-ins with the manager to discuss action items.
- Exploring how AI and emerging technologies can be applied within the business area.
