About The Position

The Technology Development Program (TECDP) at The Cigna Group is a two-year immersive experience for early-career technologists. It is designed to build deep technical expertise and a holistic understanding of how technology drives transformation in healthcare. Associates join a technical track aligned with their interests, gaining hands-on experience, expanding their technical skills, and collaborating across disciplines to solve real-world healthcare challenges. The program involves meaningful work within a specific track, learning from peers and mentors, participating in structured technical and leadership development curriculum, and building relationships through community-building activities and networking events.

Requirements

  • Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire.
  • Familiarity with the languages and tools used within your aligned track.
  • Coursework, technical projects, or internships that demonstrate technical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and an interest in how AI can enhance technology.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and eagerness to explore how AI can accelerate solutions.
  • Leadership or active involvement in clubs, organizations, or technical competitions.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly and confidently share ideas with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration & Inclusion: Work effectively on diverse teams and build strong relationships.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions.
  • Curiosity: Understand how technology supports healthcare operations and outcomes. Ability to connect technical work to broader business goals.
  • Strength-Based Leadership: Recognize and leverage personal and team strengths to drive results.
  • Growth Mindset: Take ownership of personal and professional growth through continuous learning and proactive career exploration.

  • Must be available to work a 40-hour work week.
  • Eligible for employment in the United States and would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.
