About The Position

onsemi is seeking a highly motivated engineering student to join its 300mm Technology Development team in East Fishkill, New York, for a summer 2027 internship. The team develops technologies that support ramping to volume manufacturing. The intern will contribute to one of the CMOS Image Sensor, 65nm CMOS BCD integration, or Advanced Packaging development teams, gaining hands-on experience through real-world projects in the semiconductor industry. The internship is intended to provide technical and professional development in a collaborative environment, and onsemi views internships as a pathway to entry-level career opportunities.

Requirements

• Be entering the junior or senior year of a bachelor’s degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, voltage/current probes, power supplies, and various mechanical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop new processes or control plans.
• Evaluate and qualify new materials, processes, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and device performance.
• Multitask independently and in team environments.
