About The Position

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Technology Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location to support the planning and execution of solution deployments. This role involves leveraging SAP’s latest technology platform(s) to reinforce their benefits and support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. The consultant will implement and support the operation of technical system landscapes, including the setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) using state-of-the-art methodologies. The position also requires engaging in technology components-specific expert consulting, supporting the delivery of system optimization services, and contributing to solution proposals and bid management. Additionally, the role involves delivering customer workshops and trainings, creating project documentation, and documenting delivered services. A comprehensive understanding of the relevant services portfolio for the solution area and key related areas is expected. The consultant will deliver according to specifications, provide feedback for continuous improvement, and offer support in solution testing and issue resolution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Two (2) years involving Object-oriented programming and scripting languages JavaScript, Shell Script, JSON, C++ and JAVA.
Two (2) years involving Databases and creation of SQL queries.
Two (2) years involving Server-client architecture, multi-tenant hosting, and middleware concepts.
Two (2) years involving Web Services and REST APIs (XML and SOAP) based integrations.
Two (2) years involving Authentication protocols driving SSO, SAML and IIS.
Two (2) years involving Software development life cycle methodologies and approaches including Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall model.
Two (2) years involving SAP Materials Management (MM) processes, configurations, and integration touchpoints.
Two (2) years involving SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes, order-to-cash scenarios, and system integration aspects.
Two (2) years involving SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) processes, including business partner, opportunity, and service management integration.
Two (2) years involving Cloud technologies and deployment models - SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of solution deployments.
Leverage the capabilities of SAP’s latest technology platform(s) and reinforce their benefits.
Support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise.
Implement and support the operation of technical system landscapes.
Support setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) with good understanding of state-of-the-art methodologies.
Engage in technology components-specific expert consulting.
Support the delivery of system optimization services.
Support solution proposals and bid management.
Support the delivery of customer workshops and trainings.
Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services.
Show comprehensive understanding of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas.
Deliver according to specification and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Provide support in solution testing and issue resolution.
