About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join our growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Interns and Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plans. You’ll identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency. You’ll strengthen relationships and deepen your abilities to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates. At the direction of Managers, you may accept responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies. At Protiviti, Technology Audit & Advisory focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. This includes identifying solutions to client problems related to technology, helping them to rethink how technology processes are managed by incorporating AI and automation. We also focus on technology enablement by incorporating analytics, AI, automation and other new tools and methods in the execution of audit work for our clients, enabling a deeper, broader, more efficient, and more insightful analysis of our clients’ technology risks. We support a broad set of potential certifications and related trainings for our team, equipping our technology audit organization to stay at the forefront of emerging risks and trends. Consultants in Technology Audit & Advisory work with clients to assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on different technology-related topics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
2 + years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
Experience with or understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
Experience with or understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.

Nice To Haves

Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred.
Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
Interest in all things related to data and technology, including the latest trends and developments.

Exposure to and/or interest in analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.).
Exposure to and/or interest in evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data.
Exposure to and/or interest in establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network.
Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.

Responsibilities

Incorporate analytics, AI, automation and other new tools and methods in the execution of audit work.
Perform documentation of findings and summarize recommendations.
