About The Position

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join our growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will be a mentor, trainer, and coach to Interns and Consultants as you facilitate the successful completion of project work plans. You’ll identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency. You’ll strengthen relationships and deepen your abilities to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates. At the direction of Managers, you may accept responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies. At Protiviti, Technology Audit & Advisory focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. This includes identifying solutions to client problems related to technology, helping them rethink how technology processes are managed by incorporating AI and automation, and enabling a deeper, broader, more efficient, and more insightful analysis of clients’ technology risks through the use of analytics, AI, and automation. The firm supports a broad set of potential certifications and related trainings for its team to stay at the forefront of emerging risks and trends. Consultants in this area work with clients to assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on various technology-related topics.

Requirements

  • Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
  • Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
  • Experience performing documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
  • 2 + years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
  • Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.

  • Exposure to and/or interest in the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
  • Exposure to and/or interest in analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.).
  • Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
  • Ability to establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network.
  • Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred.
