About The Position

Spektrum is seeking a Technology Advantage Analyst to support key client projects for the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The NCIA is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and partners. This role will focus on analyzing Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDT) to ensure NATO remains competitive, innovative, and operationally relevant. The analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of the Technology Advantage (TA) critical enabler, supporting various lines of development and fostering a TA community of interest. This position is crucial for maintaining NATO's C3 capability and CIS service provision in a dynamic security landscape.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience in the acquisition, assembly, and interpretation of research & technology information.
  • Knowledge of S&T information sources in nations, for example defence research laboratories, academic institutions, media, and defence ministries.
  • Experience in interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information in order to assess how such technologies may be applied within the military environment and adopted to address current and future operational challenges.
  • Practical experience with PC office automation products, including the use of internet for information research.
  • Ability to conduct analytical work on EDT documentation, identify adoption pathways, and develop practical examples of how emerging technologies can be applied to the conflicts of today and tomorrow.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (Standardized Linguistic Profile (SLP) 3333 - Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) or equivalent.
  • Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the identification of new and cataloging of existing EDTs.
  • Provide deliverables to support the further development and production of the Technology Advantage critical enabler.
  • Analyze how TA can support identified WDI Lines of Development.
  • Update current TA Vision documents to describe a common understanding of TA.
  • Prepare an initial draft Action Plan for the development of TA.
  • Support the definition of Initial Operating Capability (IOC).
  • Support the definition of Final Operating Capability (FOC).
  • Support the creation of a TA community of interest, leading to engagement with internal NATO and external stakeholders.
  • Support the TA Project Manager and Sponsor through the provision of information and reports on activities associated with the TA Action Plan and integration of the TA concept with other associated projects and experimentation activities.
  • Interact directly with external stakeholders within the scope of this contract.
