About The Position

Seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist for a temporary contract assignment in Petoskey, Michigan. The technologist works in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab, assisting cardiologists and electrophysiologists with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic EP procedures.

The position is full-time, with 40 guaranteed hours per week, on 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend coverage is required for on-call duties, and on-call work is required, including weekends.

The facility enforces a strict three-strike attendance policy. A contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or more than 20 minutes late three times may have their contract immediately terminated. Exceptions are reviewed for documented communicable diseases or hospitalizations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of dedicated electrophysiology experience.
• At least 1 year of cardiac catheterization lab experience.
• Active Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device implantations, and related invasive cardiac procedures.
• Operate specialized EP recording equipment, monitor cardiac rhythms, track intracardiac signals, and document procedural events in real time.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields; assist with patient positioning and scrub duties.
• Manage EP equipment and instrumentation.
• Follow infection-control and radiation-safety standards.
• Provide weekend on-call coverage as required.
