About The Position
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Electrophysiologist to join their expanding Heart and Vascular Institute in Urbana, Illinois. This role involves joining a team of 3 other BC Electrophysiologists, Advanced Practice Providers, and dedicated clinical staff. The cardiology team is growing and includes 8 Non-Invasive Cardiologists, 5 Interventional Cardiologists, 2 Heart Failure Cardiologists, 2 Cardiology Hospitalists, and 3 Electrophysiologists. Cardiologists at Carle cover only one hospital. The position offers general cardiology call every 7-8 days and weekend call every 5-6 weeks. A new state-of-the-art Heart Center is located adjacent to Carle Foundation Hospital. Advanced Practice Providers in the Cardiology Department collaborate closely with Cardiologists on all patient care activities. Carle Foundation Hospital has a large Adult Hospital Medicine team providing 24/7 in-house care. There is an opportunity for research and/or academic affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
Requirements
- BE/BC Electrophysiologist
- Fellowship training in Electrophysiology required.

- Experience in advanced Electrophysiology techniques such as epicardial VT ablations and lead extraction.
Responsibilities
