About The Position

Support safe, efficient imaging exams by preparing patients, assisting clinical teams, and ensuring every patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit in a fast-paced, active clinical environment. At SimonMed Imaging, the Technologist Assistant plays a key role in delivering a smooth, patient-centered imaging experience. This role supports technologists and clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, assisting with patient flow and mobility, and ensuring patients are safely and respectfully guided through their visit. This is a hands-on, highly active patient-care role that involves frequent standing, walking, and direct physical support of patients. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required (or obtained within required timeframe)
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and physically assist patients throughout the day
  • Comfort supporting patient mobility, positioning, and safe transfers when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in an active clinical environment
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safe, compassionate patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare or patient-facing experience strongly preferred
  • IV certification or willingness to obtain (depending on modality requirements)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patients for imaging exams.

  • Collaborating effectively with technologists and staff.
  • Assisting with patient positioning, escorting patients, exam preparation, and basic procedural support.
  • Ensuring exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and prepared for continuous patient flow.
  • Supporting patients with varying conditions, mobility needs, and levels of acuity.
  • Working closely with technologists and clinical staff to maintain efficient workflows and safe patient handling.
