About The Position

The MRI Technologist Aide supports MRI technologists and radiology staff in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The role assists with patient preparation, maintains MRI safety standards, facilitates workflow, and keeps the imaging environment clean, stocked, and ready for daily operations. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Willingboro.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of medical assistant, CNA, or radiology-related coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to and from the MRI suite.
• Assist patients with changing, positioning, and comfort during exams.
• Help transfer patients safely between a bed, stretcher, wheelchair, and MRI table.
• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients before exams.
• Monitor patient condition and report concerns to the technologist.
• Perform initial MRI safety screening and verify patient readiness.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety protocols, including metal screening and zone access.
• Remain aware of hazards in the MRI environment and report concerns.
• Assist with preparation of coils, immobilization devices, and exam setup.
• Prepare MRI rooms before each exam and reset them between patients.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces according to infection control guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate stock of linens, supplies, contrast materials, and coils.
• Assist technologists with exam setup and workflow efficiency.
• Support patient flow to minimize delays and maintain schedule integrity.
