About The Position

The Technologist Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion. This role is for a full-time position at Windsong Radiology, a diagnostic radiology center of excellence known for its personalized service, world-class imaging, and compassion. Requirements

Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols

Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
Knowledge of basic level computer skills
Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant change

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred
Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role
Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
Provides pre-exam screening and instructions
Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required
Manages post-scan patient hand-off
Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities
Monitors center modality schedules
Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes
Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table
Provides front-end coverage as needed
Attends trainings to stay up to date on best practices and certifications
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
