The department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Breast Imaging radiologist to join their practice. This position involves participation in their Breast Imaging clinical practice, which includes digital mammography/tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, molecular breast imaging (MBI), and image-guided needle biopsies and seed localizations. The role also includes resident and fellow education and multidisciplinary tumor board participation. The multidisciplinary practice emphasizes frequent interaction and collaboration with other members of the Breast service line, such as surgery, oncology, pathology, radiation oncology, and breast clinic. The Breast Imaging division comprises 8 breast imaging radiologists and handles a significant volume of cases annually, including 21,000 screening mammograms, 7,000 diagnostic mammograms, 4,500 ultrasounds, and 4,000 MRIs. The practice utilizes Hologic mammography units, GE ultrasound equipment, Siemens MRI scanners, and Visage PACS, with home workstations provided for shift flexibility and convenience. Mayo Clinic serves as a regional referral practice for breast cancer patients from various locations.
