About The Position

The Observability team is composed of several Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who support the global process owner in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT services. In collaboration with the organization's IT teams, the IT Service Manager aims to develop reliable IT services and continuously improve the existing service infrastructure. IT Service Managers are responsible for maintaining a high level of quality in the company's IT service management, while anticipating and resolving incidents that may affect the organization's or clients' systems. Infrastructure monitoring, change, incident, problem, and request management, as well as CMDB (Configuration Management Database) management, are essential services that IT teams rely heavily on. The ITSM team acts as a bridge between IT teams and business sectors to ensure coordination, predictability, and efficiency of services. The team brings together several specialized experts according to priorities defined by the manager, with the objective of providing quality services using various platforms, promoting operational efficiency, and ensuring consistent results.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in technology monitoring and solution architecture.
  • Solid experience in systems administration with practical expertise in Linux/Unix environments and good knowledge of Windows environments.
  • Good understanding of global IT infrastructure concepts, including firewalls, network protocols, certificate management, and network load balancing.
  • Proficiency in SQL and fundamental database concepts.
  • Programming and automation (scripting) skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Perl, or Bash (Shell).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Git, as well as with the integration of security vaults.
  • Dynatrace certification required, or commitment to obtain it within three months of starting the mandate.
  • Knowledge of ITRS Geneos is required.
  • Excellent communication in French and English. English is required, as the position requires communication with clients and partners located outside of Quebec.
  • Only candidates legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, implementation, management, integration, and support (levels 2 and 3) of a 24/7 server and network monitoring platform.
  • Ensure the maintenance, upgrades, and architecture of solutions promoting harmonized integration between various technological platforms, including: Dynatrace, ITRS Geneos, Alerting Chain, OpenTelemetry.
  • Produce documentation related to standards, standards, and guidelines for regional deployment and tool usage.
  • Manage relationships with external technology vendors to: evaluate new products, ensure issue escalation, represent the single voice of the IT production team to these partners.
  • Evaluate existing methods, software, and architectures to propose and implement processes and tools for improving, automating, and securing the activities of operating system engineering and service delivery teams.
  • Participate in global meetings and collaborate with international teams located in France, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region to ensure uniformity of tools and processes.
  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews to ensure compliance with the bank's standards and correct any identified non-compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
