About The Position

The future labpack technician will report to the operations director, their main mission will be to collect hazardous materials from residential/industrial clients, while respecting the weekly route assignment. This position requires the ability to travel, sometimes for several days, within the province of Quebec. The work environment is a hybrid technician role in a plant and on the road. This is a permanent, full-time position with a day schedule, working 40 hours per week. Overtime is available.

Requirements

Experience in environment and chemistry.
Relevant experience in hazardous materials management.
Possess a Class 5 license.
Diploma in chemistry, environment, or sciences.
Organized, dynamic, and autonomous, meticulous, versatile.
Very good adaptability and understanding of needs.
Critical thinking and analytical skills.
Team spirit and sense of responsibility.
Results-oriented.
Available, motivated, and reliable.
Computer skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

Drive a service truck requiring a Class 5 license.
Perform collections of hazardous materials from industrial and residential clients.
Mastery of TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Road).
Follow dangerous goods transport regulations.
Sort, package, and transport hazardous materials.
Perform weighing, identification, and storage of hazardous residual materials within the plant.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
In collaboration with the existing team, prepare and plan shipments of hazardous materials to various suppliers.
