About The Position

The work environment can be dusty and very hot. You must be clean-shaven to wear protective equipment (dust mask, safety glasses, and earplugs). Contact lenses are prohibited. You must be able to produce on a regular basis per shift: 180 samples (3Kg) crushed. 230 pulverized 250 g. 180 pulverized 850 g. Be quality oriented.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 months (90 days) of experience in a commercial mineral laboratory.
Good communication and manual skills.
Familiarity with all safety rules for the laboratory and sample preparation.
Must be able to stand/sit for long periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (assistance from another employee/lifting equipment is mandatory if the amount exceeds 50 pounds).
Must be clean-shaven to wear protective equipment (dust mask, safety glasses, and earplugs).
Contact lenses are prohibited.
Must be able to produce on a regular basis per shift: 180 samples (3Kg) crushed, 230 pulverized 250 g, 180 pulverized 850 g.
Be quality oriented.
Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.

Responsibilities

Sort samples, check shipping notices, and digitize sample weights independently.
Perform special preparation procedures such as mixing, sieving metallic substances, and handling special requests.
Conduct quality control checks on rejects and pulps.
Assist in training/tutoring new employees on basic procedures.
Inspect equipment and inform senior personnel if adjustments are required.
Apply products and methods correctly.
Perform other tasks assigned by the director, assistant director, or supervisors.
