About The Position

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician to provide on-site IT and OT support at our Bromont facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial environments, automation systems, and IT technologies applied to operations. This role is key to maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving both IT and OT systems.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) or vocational diploma (DEP) in IT.
  • More than 5 years of experience in a similar role or recent graduate with strong IT knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows systems; Linux (an asset).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments and operational technology (OT).
  • Experience with security systems, backup, replication, PowerShell scripting, IP telephony (Cisco).
  • Structured, autonomous, methodical, able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability to work during holidays, outside regular hours, and for 24/7 support (rotation).
  • Strong command of English.
  • Very good command of French.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for IT and OT systems (Production Equipment’s).
  • Respond to support requests, resolve incidents, and follow up on tickets.
  • Interface with employees in person, by phone, via ticketing system or Microsoft Teams.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment, personal computers, printers, mobile phones, system access, IP telephony, applications, data, network, security, virus detection, etc.
  • Participate in projects such as workstation upgrades, application deployment, or facility moves.
  • Deploy, manage, and maintain systems and software.
  • Ensure data security and access management, including user authentication and network security.
  • Analyze needs, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
  • Document procedures and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Follow change management procedures and processes.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives from the IT Security team.
  • Provide user training.
