About The Position

As a key member of the RMX technical team in Montreal (GMA), the quality control technician provides technical support to ensure the high performance of products, differentiate and/or strengthen AMRIZE's technical position in the GMA market. In compliance with strict health and safety regulations, the quality control technician ensures testing of conventional and special materials (VAP), participates in the development of new products, and takes part in the continuous improvement of the existing quality system.

Requirements

  • College diploma in civil engineering technology or five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the construction materials industry, specifically aggregates, concrete, and cement.
  • Experience with CSA A23, A3000 standards and ASTM standards related to construction materials.
  • Experience in analysis/reporting of results and updating technical files for sampling and instrumental analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be familiar with standard repair techniques and good maintenance practices for various equipment.

  • ACI Site Technician Level I (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Quality control, product performance, and raw materials.

  • Implement AMRIZE's safety policies in accordance with local laws.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the health and safety plan.
  • Promote health and safety leadership in plants and on construction sites.
  • Perform quality control tests on fresh and hardened concrete, in accordance with CSA and ASTM requirements.
  • Participate in the technical support of our clients through a strong presence on construction sites.
