About The Position

GFL Environmental is hosting a hiring event in Elgin, TX for various positions, including drivers and technicians. Specific roles include CDL Drivers and Recovery Technicians, with positions available paying $25+/hour plus overtime. They are also looking for Industrial Service Technicians, paying $20+/hour plus overtime. The hiring event will take place on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 670 Lower Elgin Road, Elgin, TX. On-site offers will be made.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired for Recovery Technician
• Possess valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for Recovery Technician
• Minimum one (1) years of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate for Recovery Technician
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards as well as 21+ for Recovery Technician
• Must have a tanker endorsement for Recovery Technician
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) for Industrial Service Technician
• Must be at least 18 years of age for Industrial Service Technician
• Valid driver's license for Industrial Service Technician
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
• Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

• Ideally a hazmat endorsement for Recovery Technician
• Experience with hazardous materials is considered an asset for Industrial Service Technician
