About The Position

Bright Ceramic Technologies (BCT), an advanced materials group in SRI International, are seeking motivated and highly experienced Engineering Technicians to take part in our efforts to produce molds, parts, and processes to further the delivery of high-quality parts to our customers. This position is a combination of engineering production and research and development activities. This position requires keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of laboratory processes, engineering procedures, be able to use Microsoft Office products, and the ability to gain or currently possess a US Government security clearance. This position will work onsite at our Palo Alto, CA office.

Requirements

US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
A good understanding of mechanical systems
The ability to communicate clearly both written and spoken
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, at times leading production and R&D projects.
Know when to step in as a supporting member on a team

Responsibilities

Work with BCT/SRI engineers and scientists to ensure required molds, test fixtures, and production tooling and products are properly designed and function properly.
Communicate back any issues to BCT/SRI Engineers and Scientists so corrective action can be taken.
Follow BCT procedures for production floor processes.
Follow necessary processes to ensure high quality parts are developed and delivered to our customers.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control process control and inspections are a major responsibility in this role as well as maintaining a cohesive data flow of part metrics from Travelers to tracking databases.
