About The Position

Digi Security Systems is an industry leader in the design, installation and support of custom video surveillance, electronic access control, and intrusion detection solutions for companies of all sizes. We've built our reputation on innovation and reliable service, and we're known as the industry's experts. We are seeking an experienced Technician to join our operations in the Dallas, TX area. This person will be responsible for performing skilled security system installations and assisting with supervising others with access control and CCTV installation. This individual must have at least 2 years of direct experience in installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar Alarms in a commercial setting. Digi's hourly rates are structured based on skill set. The below base rates are negotiable based on tenure/level of experience - Cabling Technicians (some commercial cabling knowledge): $20+ /hour BOE Experienced Technicians (cabling and CCTV knowledge): $24 - $32 + /hour BOE

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of direct experience in installing and servicing Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar Alarms in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from ladders or man lifts at extended heights.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and complete overhead work for long periods of time.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license in the state of which you are applying and have the ability to meet our company driving standards.

  • Some commercial cabling knowledge (for Cabling Technicians)
  • Cabling and CCTV knowledge (for Experienced Technicians)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the professional installation of cabling, access control components, CCTV systems, and motion/intrusion/alarm systems.
  • Lead by example by upholding the highest installation standards in the industry, and is expected to hold their team accountable to professional standards.
  • Safely operate various hand tools, work at heights on ladders and lifts, keep accurate truck inventory, and maintain safety standards on-site and off.
  • Perform computer program entry as required and prepare documentation for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information.
  • Respectfully communicates with all coworkers and Project Lead on daily progress and documents all necessary information.
  • Responsible for reading and understanding technical drawings, assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work.
  • Consistently communicate with the Project Coordinator, Branch Manager, and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
