Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Technical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results
General construction/carpentry knowledge and experience using power tools
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills – both written and oral
Good computer skills using Word and Excel
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull, stretch, sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
Ability to pass pre-employment check

Responsibilities

Assist with or perform a variety of tests on construction materials using testing equipment
Read construction documents to determine project details and specifications
Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including test reports and timesheets – in a timely manner
Records and reports test results after performing mathematical calculations
Communicate orally and in writing with different parties involved with the project
Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment as needed
Adheres to construction site safety guidelines and promotes a safe working environment
Comfortable using MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Inspection of construction operations
Other duties as assigned
