About The Position
Detail-oriented, reliable, creative team-player to assist senior designers and engineers in field evaluations of equipment and piping systems, developing 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for engineering work packages.
Requirements
- Studying for a 2 or 4-year engineering or technology degree
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Required
- Experience with measuring, building, constructing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to field and office work environments in various industrial facilities
- Exposure to basics of piping design codes (ASME B31.3 or ASME B31.1)
- Learn new programs such as Revit, Bluebeam, Autodesk Plant 3D
- Learn quality control techniques of drawing/report reviews
- Exposure to project schedules and budgets
- Exposure to multiple Client / Industry specifications and standards
- Working with project teams and collaborating with others
- Attend work social gatherings and networking opportunities
- Utilization of emerging technologies
Responsibilities
- Field evaluation and measurements of existing piping systems
- 3D AutoCAD design of piping, equipment, structures
- 2D AutoCAD drawings of plans, elevations, and isometrics
- Assist in development of evaluation reports
- Ability to embrace emerging technologies
