About The Position

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Technician to join their team in the Trevose, Pennsylvania area. This role involves working with Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) products, including changeable message signs, roadside and security CCTV systems, access control systems, and weather detection systems. A primary responsibility is to perform preventative maintenance on all these systems. The position requires a valid PA driver's license with a clean driving record, basic computer skills (MS Word & Excel), and a minimum of 2 years of electronics experience. The work environment is characterized by regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, outdoor weather conditions, and moving traffic, with a generally loud noise level. Driving is a key requirement for this position.

Requirements

• Valid PA drivers license (clean driving record required)
• Basic Computer Skills (MS Word & Excel)
• 2+ years Electronics experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

• Background on CISCO TCP/IP networking and familiarity with ServiceNow a plus.
• Fiber Optic termination and troubleshooting.
• Class B CDL would be a plus.
