Requirements

  • Associates Degree in a STEM Field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • 4+ years’ experience in electrical, RF, or antenna testing
  • 4+ years’ experience in EMI/EMC setup, testing, data collection, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD-461 or equivalent standard (e.g. 47CFR15, RTCA/DO-160, D6-16050)
  • Proficient in EMI/EMC testing
  • Experience operating electrical test equipment such as antennas, oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, EMI receivers, LNAs, signal generators, multimeters, etc.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to multitask in a dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US citizenship required)
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related Science with a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or equivalent military training and EMI‑related experience
  • Knowledge of RF principles and RF engineering with emphasis in EMI
  • Proficiency in product qualification tests and techniques
  • Active Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearance (US citizenship required)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EMI software tools such as TILE, EMC32, or Elektra
  • Experience reviewing EMI test processes for completeness and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Conducting system, subsystem, and component‑level EMI tests
  • Testing complex circuits and systems for EMI compliance (e.g., MIL‑STD‑461)
  • Following EMI test procedures under the guidance of EMI engineers to meet specified product performance for all Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) compliance, including conducted and radiated emissions and immunity
  • Troubleshooting system‑level issues and isolating EMI sources
  • Reviewing EMI test procedures and generating EMI test reports
