About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician V for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

Requirements

• 9 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 4 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 5 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area
• Instrumentation – Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 6 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.

Responsibilities

• Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
• Use drawings, general and special test equipment to test cables, wiring harnesses, populated printed circuit boards, receivers, and transmitters.
• Use drawings, general and special tools and test equipment to assemble, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS kits.
• Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.
• Integrate network enabled test equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to test setup, board manufacturing defects.
