Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inverter Testing Technologist to support the development of current and next-generation electrified vehicle traction inverters at the EPIC Power Electronics Laboratory in Allen Park, MI. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will act as a key electromechanical builder—fabricating custom structural test stands and constructing complex physical test setups from engineering drawings and schematics. You will inspect critical inverter components (capacitors, power modules, and busbars), assemble prototype test samples, instrument them with diagnostic sensors, and build custom low-voltage and high-voltage wiring harnesses. Beyond the initial build, you will configure and operate advanced laboratory equipment—including high-voltage testers, thermal chambers, and power cyclers—while troubleshooting experimental setups, performing routine equipment maintenance, and executing safe, systematic teardowns. Additionally, you will support day-to-day lab operations through inventory management, shipping and receiving, equipment calibration, and maintaining a safe, highly organized facility.
